Luke Hildyard on Newstalk
High Pay Centre Executive Director Luke Hildyard was invited onto Ireland’s most popular news and talk radio channel Newstalk to discuss the idea of a maximum wage.
Luke argued that the extreme wealth of billionaires such as Jeff Bezos shows there may be a need to cap what top earners are paid. He highlighted that while those who takes risks and create jobs deserve to be rewarded well, in too many cases the wealth of the richest people is disproportionate to the risks taken, while workers who have played a major role in supporting their success are vastly under rewarded.
