Media coverage of High Pay Hour 2023
This year it took a typical FTSE 100 CEO just 30 hours to get paid what the typical UK worker gets paid in a year.
This meant that the typical FTSE 100 CEO would only need to work until 2pm on 5th January – what we have coined as ‘High Pay Hour’ to be paid the typical UK worker’s wage of £33,000.
High Pay Hour was widely reported on by national UK media outlets including the Guardian, Sky, the Mirror, the Mail on Sunday, The Times and The Independent.
High Pay Centre Executive Director Luke Hildyard discussed High Pay Hour in interviews broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland, LBC News and Times Radio
