This discussion paper advises local and regional authorities and politicians on what they can do to empower workers, secure fairer pay and promote responsible business in their communities. The report makes a number of recommendations focused on local and regional authorities’ employment practices, strategic use of their procurement budgets and their wider local/regional economic strategies.
